ZapRoute SMS Terms and Opt-in
Effective date: September 7, 2026 · Updated September 9, 2026
ZapRoute is pool-service software operated by Emanuel Pools, Corp., 9956 Brickhill Dr, Boca Raton, FL 33428, United States. Pool service companies use ZapRoute to run their routes and to keep their customers informed. This page explains the text messages (SMS) sent through ZapRoute, how customers opt in, and how to stop them at any time.
Who sends the messages
Text messages are sent from the ZapRoute toll-free number +1 (888) 469-7697 on behalf of the pool service company that services your pool. Every message identifies that company by name, for example: "Blue Water Pools via ZapRoute: …". ZapRoute never sends marketing or promotional messages, and never sends messages on behalf of anyone other than your pool service company.
What the messages contain
Service notifications. A short text when the technician is on the way to your pool, and a short text when the service is done, with a link to the photo of the completed service.
Account notifications. Occasional service announcements from your pool company (for example, a holiday schedule change) and courteous payment reminders for past-due balances. Payment reminders are always reviewed and sent by a person at your pool company — never automatically.
Replies. You can reply to any message. Replies go to your pool company's office, and a person answers them.
Message frequency varies with your service schedule — typically 1 to 3 messages per service visit. Message and data rates may apply.
How customers opt in
Text messages are off by default for every customer. You receive them only after you give your pool service company permission to send SMS text messages to the mobile number you provide. Consent is collected in one of three ways: verbally, when you start service or give the office your mobile number by phone or in person (the script the company reads is below); in writing, by checking the "Yes, text me service updates" option on the company's service agreement or intake form; or by text, replying YES or START to +1 (888) 469-7697 once your mobile number is on file with the company. In every case the company records the date, time and source of your consent in ZapRoute before any text is sent. Consent is optional and is never a condition of purchasing any service.
The first message you receive identifies the sender and includes the instruction "Reply STOP to opt out".
Verbal opt-in script
Every pool service company that uses ZapRoute collects verbal consent with this script. The office or the technician reads it to the customer, in person or by phone, and only records the consent if the customer clearly says yes:
"[Company name] can send you text messages about your pool service: a text when the technician is on the way, a text when the service is done with a link to the photo, and occasionally a service notice or a payment reminder from our office. The texts come from our scheduling software, ZapRoute, at +1 (888) 469-7697. Message frequency varies — usually 1 to 3 texts per service visit. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop the texts, or HELP for help. Texting is optional and not required for service. Would you like to receive these texts at [mobile number]?"
Example conversation. Office: "…Would you like to receive these texts at (561) 555-0123?" — Customer: "Yes, that's fine." — Office: "Great. You'll get a text when our technician is on the way and another when the service is done. You can reply STOP anytime." The office then opens the customer's record in ZapRoute, enters the mobile number, sets the consent source to Verbal, and turns text messages on. If the customer says no, nothing is recorded and no text is ever sent.
How consent is recorded and stored. ZapRoute stores, in the customer's record, the mobile number, the date and time consent was given, the source (verbal, written form, or texted YES) and the current on/off state. This record stays with the customer's account and can be reviewed by the company at any time. A STOP reply switches text messages off automatically and is logged with its date and time.
First text after a verbal opt-in. The first message confirms who is texting and how to stop, for example: "Blue Water Pools via ZapRoute: Chris is on the way to your pool, ETA ~20 min. Reply STOP to opt out."
Opting out after a verbal opt-in. Reply STOP to any message, tell the office in person or by phone, or ask the company to switch texts off for your account. Any of these stops all future texts.
How to stop or get help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will get one final confirmation, and no further messages will be sent. Reply START to opt in again. Reply HELP for help, or contact your pool service company directly. You can also ask your pool company to switch texts off for your account at any time.
Messages are sent only between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM in your local time zone.
Privacy
Mobile numbers and opt-in information are used solely to deliver the messages described above. They are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing. See the ZapRoute Privacy Policy for details on how data is stored and protected.
